Strathcona County is a municipality in Alberta with a history of very successful local businesses. They are set in the centre of Alberta’s energy and agricultural heartland, Strathcona County is a thriving, successful and vibrant community of over 98,000 residents. Strathcona County is made up of the urban area of Sherwood Park and a large adjacent rural area of farms, acreages and smaller hamlets.
Strathcona County Economic Development and Tourism wanted to showcase and highlight the advantages and strengths of local businesses to encourage further economic development. In order to do this, the county wanted to tell the stories both large and small businesses through an emotionally compelling video series.
Iconium developed the award-winning “You Can” series for Strathcona County, which highlighted the stories of dozens of local businesses.
We deeply enjoyed being able to partner with Strathcona County for a project that was so close to home. Through getting to know other local small business owners, we were able to promote what makes Strathcona County a unique place to live and do business – and others took notice.

Our commitment to capturing the spirit of these gatherings enables us to showcase the community's unity, cultural diversity, and collective celebration, promoting a sense of belonging and shared experiences.
Since 2017, Iconium Media has partnered with Strathcona County's Economic Development and Tourism to capture nearly 30 compelling video stories of local businesses. These stories are featured in Cineplex and extensively promoted throughout the community, generating exposure and fostering community support. They are used by the businesses as well as the County to profile awareness that anyone can do business within Strathcona County.

We have captured captivating images that depict the unique attractions, landscapes, and experiences the County has to offer. These stunning visuals are featured in brochures and various promotional materials, serving as a powerful tool to entice visitors and showcase the County's tourism potential.
Iconium Media has produced dynamic videos for Strathcona County's Parks and Recreation program, highlighting the diverse range of parks, facilities, and recreational activities available. These visually captivating videos promote active lifestyles, inspire community engagement, and serve as a valuable resource for residents and visitors.
